This Privacy Policy applies when you visit or use FEMFI’s website, online enrollment system, and APIs. By using FEMFI’s website, online enrollment system, and APIs, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

FEMFI collects personal information directly from you, our customers. Such personal information includes:

  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Signature
  • Seafarers Registration Number (SRN generated by the MARINA Integrated Seafarers Management Online System or MISMO)
  • 2×2 IDPicture
  • Government issued ID (eg. passport, drivers license, seaman’s book)

USER ACCOUNT

When you  create an account using FEMFI’s website, online enrollment system, and APIs, we collect any personal information you provide directly, including:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • 2×2 ID Picture

PAYMENT INFORMATION

If you decide to enroll at FEMFI, we collect certain information necessary to process your enrollment. You are required to provide the following information to our payment service provider (please visit https://bux.ph/privacy-policy/):

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Area code
  • Mobile number
  • Credit card details
  • Debit card details

 

FEMFI does not store sensitive information such as credit card and debit card details, as well as any banking authentication information.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect your personal information due to the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary for the enrollment process as required by the Maritime Industry Authority of the Philippines (MARINA)
  • Strictly necessary for protection against fraudulent access to our Learning Management System
  • Improvement of our system’s performance when our system collects web traffic and website visits
  • Improvement of our system’s performance when we collect feedbacks from you
  • Advertisements that are tailor made for you based on your preferences and settings
  • Identification of unique profiles across our  Enrollment System

 

You can set your browser to alert you about attempts to place cookies on your computer. You may limit the types of cookies you allow or even refuse them altogether. If you do, you may not be able to use some important features of our website, enrollment system, and APIs.

We share the following personal information about you for compliance with MARINA’s requirements:

  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Signature
  • Seafarers Registration Number (SRN generated by the MARINA Integrated Seafarers Management Online System or MISMO)
  • Photo
  • Government issued ID (eg. passport, drivers license, seaman’s book)

THIRD PARTY

We may disclose personal information about you to third parties in our sole discretion for the following reasons:

  • Required as part of a judicial, governmental, or legal  order or proceeding
  • Required as part of a valid subpoena, warrant, or other valid request
  • Necessary in our discretion to protect against imminent harm to our employees, our properties, our IT infrastructure, other FEMFI customers, or members of the public.
  • Necessary for the purpose of internal, external, and certification body audits

INFORMATION SECURITY

FEMFI takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information that we collect and store. However, no system can be 100% secured, so we cannot guarantee that communications between you and FEMFI’s website, Enrollment System, and APIs or any personal information provided to us in connection with the data we collect will be free from risks.

Your password is an important part of our security measures, and it is your responsibility to protect it. Do not share your password with any third party, and if you believe your password has been compromised, you should change it immediately or contact us through any of our communication channels.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have certain rights around the use of your data, including:

  • The ability to update or terminate your account at any time
