Established in 1992, FEMFI was conceived to provide internationally recognized certification to Filipino seafarers. FEMFI firmly believes in value formation of a world class seafarer through high standard maritime training and practical assessment. From a one classroom review center, FEMFI is now one of Philippines’ leaders in maritime training and practical assessment.
Reflective of its pioneering and innovative spirit, FEMFI distinguished itself among the first trusted maritime training centers in the Philippines by being the first to offer training programs such as Ship Restricted Radio Operator, INMARSAT, GOC/GMDSS, Infectious Diseases and Virus Prevention Onboard Ships, and Maritime Cybersecurity Awareness. FEMFI is also among the first maritime training centers who operated in Blended Learning, utilizing today’s technology in delivering quality maritime training.
In line with FEMFI’s pursuit for excellence, it acquired its ISO 9002 certificate from Bureau Veritas Certification in February 1999, its ISO 9001:2000 certificate in December 2003, its ISO 9001:2008 certificate in December 2010, and its ISO 9001:2015 certificate in December 2016. FEMFI is the first maritime training institution in the Philippines accredited under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.
